My work is an exploration of the personification of objects. I often combine familiar details of everyday objects to create tools that suit a need to understand my psychological processes. For me a colander holds the most important knowledge while letting the extraneous drain away, a flange implies coupling, a gold pan hope and desire.

In my psychological processes and consequentially my studio practice I start by collecting information or adding materials until I begin to understand and the form takes shape. Then I subtract material to reveal the skeleton of the form or information to grasp the central issue.
Both in process and in evidence my work is a manifestation of my problem solving processes; the objects I create are tools that function to realize my life.
